About US

We are Travis and Ashlie Will.

Five years ago, our eyes and hearts were opened to the needs of orphans worldwide which took us down two adoption journeys, one to Ethiopia and one to Haiti. God continued to change our hearts to align with His desires. After years of chasing "The American Dream", we were no longer content with just reading what the Bible said about a life of radical obedience, We wanted to start living it.

 Travis:
For the past 10 years Travis has been working as the Risk and Compliance Director at a clinic. His kids are his greatest joy and stress reliever so he has little time for his other hobby; classic cars. He is definitely the one who spoils the kids and "the fun one".

Ashlie:
Since having our first child, I have been a stay at home mom. Once our oldest was school age we felt we should be in control of his education and we have been homeschooling ever since. Now we have a 4th grader, 2 grader, 1st grader, Kindergartner, and Preschooler. Needless to say, that keeps me pretty busy but it is rewarding to be a part of their individual learning. Because God is the center of our lives, we are able to look at every subject in light of that. I love finding natural ways of doing things, cleaning, lotion products, herbs and essential oils.  Everyone rolls their eyes, but come running when they have aches and pains.

We love cooking as a family. Playing baseball. Camping. Playing Legos (mostly  Travis and the boys:)

After taking several trips to Haiti, we came across a need at an organization ministering in Port Au Prince. We were so impressed with the holistic way Christian Light School Inc. is serving the community and we started to pray how we could get involved. Ashlie made a trip in March 2012 to visit and after more prayer Travis visited in September 2012. We knew this was the place we wanted to serve.
We are raising funds to move our family (of 7) to Haiti and  hope to be there by early summer, 2014. We are trusting in God and His timing for this to happen.
The goal of this blog is to let our family and friends know about our new life, as well as, show everyone the many GREAT things that  God is doing at Christian Light School Inc.  and in Haiti. We don't want to point towards ourselves, because we will fall, many, many times along the way. We are imperfect. But our desire is to glorify God in all we do.

We appreciate your prayers and encouraging words along the way.
